Most people don't know this that much but I am obsessed with things that are creepy, weird and strange. I don't know why, I hate being creeped out and scared but it's something I always find so exciting at the same time. Of course these would be the kind of podcasts I'm drawn to. Not to say that other podcasts aren't equally just as great, it's just the ones I listen to have really caught my attention.
Lore
To kick of my little list here, I want to talk about one of my favorite podcasts and what I suppose got me into listening to podcasts as a whole. Lore is a bi-weekly podcast hosted by the amazing Aaron Mahnke. It covers things like scary true life stories, creepy urban legends from around the world, and some of the best fairy tales and ghost stories I've ever heard. Aaron Mahnke is a fantastic storyteller and the Lore podcast really helps to satisfy that creepy vibe craving I always have. It's not only the stories that I love about Lore but the atmosphere it creates for me, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, is so peaceful and eerie. Aaron Mahnke definitely created something perfect for my curious nature so I hope you give him a chance too.Let's Not Meet: A True Horror Podcast
The title of this podcast is so fitting for what it's about. Let's Not Meet: A True Horror Podcast is an super creepy true stories podcast narrated and produced by Andrew Tate. Andrew gives listeners a first person account of stories that normal everyday people send into him about terrifying moments in their lives where they came close to or met someone or something that really shook them to the core. These stories can consist of things like stalkers, and strangers outside of peoples homes to scenes and scenarios that would have to be seen to be believed. I could easily sit here all day listening to everyone of these stories, never knowing what is in store for me in the next one, and then of course regretting it as I hide under the covers in bed. Definitely one to check out for a more intense fear.
